How Syncing Works
Syncing is one of the incredible features of SiteDrive. Simply put, syncing adds the file to your site and notifies you if there are new versions. If we provide an integration, a synced file will be pushed to the app itself!
There are three states, and we will explain them below. First, if you have never installed a file from a Remote Drive, the sync button will be grey. Once clicked, this will install the file on your site.
Second, if there are additional changes from the Remote Drive, and you had synced in the past, the button will be orange, indicating there is a change. Click the icon to sync and receive the latest version. In this case, it would push the latest version of Thanksgiving Pricing right to the Avada Builder.
Finally, if you have the latest version of a file from a Remote Drive, the sync button will be green.
Remember, if we provide an integration with the WordPress app for the file you are sending, a synced file will not just be available in SiteDrive, it will also be available in the theme, builder, or plugin directly.
If we have not created an integration, you can still add support for any file type from the SiteDrive settings. These files can still be synced, and you will still be notified in SiteDrive of new versions and receive them automatically. The only difference is these files will not be pushed directly to the end theme, builder, or plugin.
